This year’s New York Fashion Week will close out with a charity benefit by Fashion Fights Cancer. They have also chosen Designer Thuy Diep to be the honoree. More »

Another year and Fashion Fights Cancer is back! Fashion Fights Cancer is an event that works with fashion designers and organizations to put on a spectacular show while raising cancer awareness to the public. Attendees get the chance at a sneak peek into the world of fashion, exposing them to new perspectives and favorite designers. More »

I didn’t attend Diane von Furstenberg’s Fall 2010 show, but I am a die-hard Diane fan, and I felt the need to share some of my favorite looks from the collection! More »

New York Fashion Week ended on Thursday, and now the fashionistas have traveled across the pond for London Fashion Week. This was the first Fashion Week that I had the privilege to attend, and I had a great time. Some parts of it were totally as glamorous as I expected, but at the same time there were parts that were not so glam (standing in line in heels at some shows, being pushed around as everyone clamored for free booze at the bar, etc.).

You also meet a good number of ridiculous people while waiting around for shows to start — many of whom think that they are more important than they really are (the fashion set tends to be a tad egotistical). So here, I’ve collected some of the most ridiculous things said in my presence at New York Fashion Week. More »

Tuesday evening’s Thuy show had some great, classic fall pieces mixed with a few unconventional elements. The first look down the runway was a bright red dress with what looked like fur tubes over the hands. Interesting… More »

On Sunday, I stopped by at the LORICK Fall 2010 presentation, and as soon as I entered the Union Square Ballroom I knew I was in for a treat. Fun music played, and the first thing you could see was a giant, white sheet with the models’ shadows cast across it. More »

Farah Angsana showed her Fall 2010 collection on the first official evening of Fashion Week! This collection was really luxe, and it incorporated a lot of the elements that we love about Fall, like rich colors, silk, and fur. Take a look at some of my favorite looks from the collection, and watch my feeble attempt at movie-making! More »

Today, Kristen and I were able to check out the Timo Weiland Fall/Winter 2010 presentation, “Pageantry and Ceremonial Splendour.” This particular collection fit the title correctly with it’s focus mainly on clothes meant to be worn out and for the purpose of showing off all the rich details. The collection was rich with denim tweed, knits, ’60s mod inspiration and deep bold colors like teal, green and red. More »

This morning it was reported that British designer Alexander McQueen committed suicide and was found in his home. This is very upsetting news for the fashion world, which highly regarded his work. McQueen was responsible for outfitting celebrities, such as Bjork, Sarah Jessica Parker and Lady Gaga, and just last year produced a successful Designer for Target collection. More »
