When I first saw Dolce & Gabbana’s Fall 2010 Collection, my first thought was, “Wait, is this a resort collection?” All the bright prints, lipstick red sunglasses, and floral accessories half made me feel like I was chilling in the Caribbean. But as I flipped through the slides, I realized that what you see is definitely not what you get. More »

Fall 2010 is looking beautiful for Topshop. Looking at this coming season’s campaign photographed by Josh Olin, I am kicking myself for living on the wrong coast. (The one and only Topshop location in the US is in NYC.) The trends that seem apparent to me seem to be a cross between hiker and bohemian, with a touch of darkness — just pay attention to the black and the spikes detailing. Here’s just a few of the looks that I am loving: More »

Remember when Jinra and I trekked through the snow and slush to bring you coverage from New York Fashion Week? Now you might be able to see some of the Fall 2010 collections in person too since Parlor showroom is going on a tour of the U.S.! More »

Now that the fashion weeks in the international “fashion capitals” (New York, London, Milan, Paris) have finished, Japanese designers are ready to show their Fall collections in Tokyo. Like many of the other Fall collections that we’ve seen so far, Chanel had tons of fur incorporated into the designs, but all of the fur that came down the iceberg runway was faux! More »

Things you’ll never see on a Rad Hourani line: gender specificity, colors that aren’t black and buttons. Those things are the elements to what I call a perfect unisex line. Or things I’m wishing to do away with in my wardrobe, just to try something new. What I love most about Rad Hourani’s Fall 2010 line is that it the clothes look very fluid and transformable — you never know where one piece ends and one begins. It’s both a treat and a mystery for people observing Rad’s clothes. Some of my fave looks: More »

I was really excited to see the Twinkle by Wenlan collection this season, and it really didn’t disappoint. I love Twinkle because it is always a little edgy, but still something that you can see on the runway and say to yourself “I’d walk out of here wearing that right now.” Wenlan Chia knows how to make fashion fun and approachable.
