Alexa Chung, hipster turned model turned MTV talk show host turned fashion designer graces the cover of Vogue UK’s March issue. The feature on Alexa Chung is an essay she wrote on jeans, her fashion obsession. (And mine!) “Denim is a symbol of youth, sex, rebellion and, most essentially, America,” she writes. “Buying jeans is our first foray in American style.” One that she’s come to know well. “My denim shirts appear to be breeding in the bottom of my wardrobe,” she jokes, “and my newfound appetite for all things dungaree is becoming a worry.” More »

Jane Birkin’s daughter (yes Birkin of Hermes Birkin bag fame), Lou Doillon is right after Alexa Chung when it comes to my list of style muses. She’s currently the star of fashion designer Vanessa Bruno’s short film featuring her Spring 2010 collection, called Le bel été. I have no idea what that means in English, but I can imagine it means something along the lines of, “OMG CUTE CLOTHES, I WANT IT ALL.” More »

I am not going to lie, I have a TOTAL girl-boner for Alexa Chung. It’s so bad, I’d switch teams for her. Luckily, despite the cancellation of MTV’s “It’s On with Alexa Chung,” she once again proves to us that there is life after MTV. Of course the first piece of proof is the fact that she recently topped the list of Vogue’s Most Stylish People. The second piece of proof is that she’s the new face of Pepe Jeans alongside sexy male models Tom Guinness and Boyd Holbrook. I’m not necessarily a fan of Pepe Jeans, but looking at the photoshoot pics shot by Tom Munro is making me reconsider. More »

Even though MTV turned off “It’s On with Alexa Chung,” Alexa Chung proves that there’s life beyond a canceled MTV show. Alexa recently beat out Sarah Jessica Parker and model Kate Moss to top Vogue’s list of the most stylish people of 2009. Admittedly, Alexa Chung is at the top of my list and is also one of my own personal style icons. Her topping the Vogue list is like me topping the list. Kind of. More »
