Lord and Taylor’s flagship store will be open Thanksgiving Day

Lord and Taylor decided that their Fifth Avenue flagship store will remain open on Thanksgiving from 10am to 7pm, and their employees aren’t too thrilled about that.

Traditionally, flagship stores on Fifth Avenue closes on Thanksgiving, allowing their employees to watch the parade and spend the holiday with their families. Other flagship stores on Fifth Avenue include Macy’s, Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdales.

A source at Macy’s commented, “we wouldn’t do that to our employees.”

And just who will be shopping on Thanksgiving, instead of being with their families to spend the holiday like everyone should be doing?
