Think tank L2 has just revealed their annual Digital IQ Index! A total of 76 specialty retail brands were ranked based on factors such as website, e-commerce experience, digital marketing, social media and mobile.

According to L2, “82% of users report using their mobile devices in store, leading to a showrooming effect, where users experience product in store but purchase via mobile.” It is predicted that mobile commerce will increase at a rate of 30% to 40% a year.

Many traditional brands have opened brick-and-mortar stores to to carefully align their online and in-store sales. Department stores have also started to develop mobile apps and engage in social media.

7. Crate & Barrel
7. Bloomingdale’s
6. JCPenney
5. American Eagle Outfitters
4. Sephora
3. Victoria’s Secret
2. Nordstrom
1. Macy’s
