Christian Louboutin finds flip flops sexy

French footwear designer Christian Louboutin is known for his signature high heels that incorporate shiny, red lacquered soles. But who would know that this designer who brought stilettos back to life during the ’90s would find flip flops sexy?

He revealed, “I would have been proud to invent flip-flops, the most democratic and perfectly unisex shoe in the world is also very sexy.”

His favorite sandal would be the Havaianas. It’s so special to him that it made it into his list of top 10 favorite things, along with Paris and his mother’s necklace.

Marc Jacobs also featured flip flops in his show on September 11th. Maybe next year will be the year of flip flops?
