For inspiration for Whitney Eve’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection, Whitney Port looked to London’s crown jewels. The inspiration manifested itself in geometric prints that resembled jewel cuts and crystals in a soft palette consisting of gray, blue, green, chocolate and beige. The collection mostly consisted of separates that you would probably see Whitney wearing — tailored jackets and blouses paired off with slouchy printed silk pants, shorts or skirts.
While mostly a safe, trendy collection, there were a few instances of daring in the collection — there was an asymmetrical knife-pleated skirt, a few sweater over shirt dress over pants looks, cropped tops and fringe. There was also a ruffle-y baby doll dress that looked a little out of place, but forgivable because it was quite cute. Overall, everything in the collection is mostly wearable. I’d wear just about anything in the collection except for the cropped tops — I’m not that bold.
