Free People gets ‘Intimate’ with their new collection

No matter how many times you’ve shopped at Free People in the past, let’s just say your retail relationship with brand is going to become a little more…intimate. And I mean this literally, since the label is seriously expanding its lingerie collection with more options and even brick and mortar stores.

Aptly named “Intimately Free People,” the new styles of bras, underwear, slip dresses and pajamas have the same breezy boho vibe that you already know and love. And while the prices aren’t too shabby ($28 for bras, $10 for underwear), here’s the cool part: they’ve styled the label’s online lookbook to show how you can wear the clothes in AND outside of the bedroom.

Want proof? Just check out the new Pieced Geo Viscose Voile Slip, above. Sure, it may look like it belongs under a sheer dress or stashed in your underwear drawer, but it only takes a couple of layers to make the silk frock totally street-worthy. Nina Ricci, Vera Wang, and Jeremy Scott have all worked the underwear-as-outerwear trend on the runway in seasons past, not to mention everyone from Lady Gaga to Rihanna to Taylor Momsen.
