Jason Wu has announced that he’s introducing a new junior’s line called Miss Wu, and from the sound of it, it’s going to be very similar to the collection he did for Target last spring.

According to WWD, the 40-piece lineup features shifts and A-line dresses “with touches of Mod,” striped tops, and quirky details. Sixties icons like Jane Birkin and Marianne Faithfull inspired the line, Wu says. “Those girls had that certain something-something that really felt right for the image of [the Miss Wu] girl.

Which means, unlike many junior’s collections, this one will hopefully be wearable even if you’re well out of your tweens. “This collaboration has an appeal not just to a younger set of women, but to a broader set of women and at prices that are approachable,” the designer said.

While not quite Target cheap, the collection will be a significant price break from Wu’s collection pieces. Sold exclusively in Nordstrom stores and at nordstrom.com for the first year. The collection will retail from $195 for a sleeveless silk bow blouse to $795 for a black leather jacket. Look for it at Nordstrom come January 2013.
