After news of a New York flagship location, Nordstrom has now announced plans to install Topshop departments in 14 of its locations in the U.S. Each one will get a 2,500-square-foot Topshop women’s and 1,500-square-foot Topman.
“We think our customers are going to love their take on trend-led fashion at great prices,” Pete Nordstrom (left) said in a statement. Phillip Green (right), who announced the news on July 12 with Nordstrom at NYC’s Topshop, added: “I believe TOPSHOP and TOPMAN offer the Nordstrom customer something very different and unique with our signature British fashion authority. With new pieces being delivered from our design team on pretty much a weekly basis – the ability to buy fresh, must-have looks every time a customer visits is key to our brands’ point of difference.”
The partnership between the two retailers will also include exclusive Topshop items for Nordstrom and Topshop visual merchandising elements. It seems like the format will lend itself to Nordstrom, whose stores are already pretty much laid out in a shop-in-shop format where each department has a name.

And, announced earlier this month, mini Topshops are also coming to Canadian department store The Bay. Topshop confirms that these will not disrupt plans to open more free-standing stores in the States, including an L.A. store next spring and 15-20 flagships next year.
