Ralph Lauren’s preppy Team USA uniforms revealed!

The Olympics Opening Ceremony is mere weeks away, and we finally got a glimpse of how our US athletes will look when they take that lap around the Olympic stadium.

Ralph Lauren, who designed the uniforms, went with a very Kennedy-esque vibe for them. Featuring classic navy double-breasted blazers for guys and white knee-length skirts for the ladies, the look screams American prep. Oh, and they all get to wear jaunty little berets and red, white, and blue scarves.

While the guys look fairly dashing in a country club sort of way, I wish the ladies’ were a bit more flattering and form-fitting. When an athlete looks a little matronly in an outfit, that concerns me. A more shrunken, fitted blazer would do the trick… maybe.
