Japanese optical design house JAPONISM, has found a way to blend it’s traditions and artistic integrity through elegant, functional design and high quality.

And those trends continue with JAPONISM’s 2012 Bamboo collection of eyeglass frames. This line focuses on the gorgeous, renewable wood whose natural color ages beautifully with extended use. Each vintage-inspired frame is handmade from bamboo sourced from Kyoto, Japan.

If you are interested in buying a set of frames, you can find the nearest store carrying JAPONISM, here.

I love the full-rim frames - so cute! And you can’t really get any more light weight than bamboo, can you?

I like them! Too bad I haven’t seen them in stores where I live.

Woot, they are environment-friendly and I like the design:D

These seem so cool, and very natural!
