Another wedding gown gone viral: Zuckerberg Edition

As many of you may know by now, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg married his long-time girlfriend (now wife) Priscilla Chan. He also updated his status on his Facebook page with a photo of them in their wedding attire. It looks like many have fallen in love with the bride’s wedding gown because a spike in sales has gone way up!

Designed by L.A.-based designer Claire Pettibone, the designer herself had no idea the bride was going to wear it to her wedding as there were no consultations on the two year old collection the dress was from. Pettibone also suspects that Chan used a different name: “We’re honestly not sure. I think she may not have used her actual name.”

Pettibone’s website received 10x the amount of traffic she usually would receive and hears that 14 stores wanted to order the gown on Monday, with many more expected to come. Although the dress is only priced at $4,700, it looks like there are going to be many knock-offs soon (with different fabric since Pettibone owns the right to the fabric.)
