Malaysian shoe store Shoes Shoes Shoes are offering a free man with every pair of shoes: “Get a pair of shoes from Shoes Shoes Shoes and get a free man!” In other words, they have created shoe dating, where women who love shoes will land themselves a man who will pay for the shoes if the pair go on a date.

Basically, men have to sign up to Lunch Actually and choose 20 shoes they would like to see a date wearing. He will then pledge a payment of 10-100% of the shoe (probably depends on the price of the shoe/how willing he is to obtain a date) and when the woman buys shoes from the store in capital Kuala Lumpur, she can get on the website to see potential men who would be willing to pay towards her new shoes. After the pair go on the date, the man will then pay up.

Shoes Shoes Shoes say, “Why sit and wait for Mr. Right to drop from the sky? Go do what you like most first - shop for shoes and live out your “Sex And The City” dreams (think Carrie!). and leave it to the professionals to find you your Mr. Big. with a possible discount of 100% to boot.”

No matter how odd the idea may be, in my eyes it’s actually a really good idea! It incorporates what people want (the man wants a date, the woman wants discounted/free shoes) and in the end, regardless of the date’s outcome, both parties should turn out slightly happier than before… as long as the date wasn’t too disastrous of course!
