High heels can be deemed as a girl’s best friend. It lengthens a female’s leg and gives the minority the much needed height boast (me!). Though, it many cases, wearing heels can act as a primary factor that threatens the well being of many individuals.
Scientist have finally proven the consequences of wearing heels on a daily basis. The reality is, wearing high heels on a regular basis actually shortens the calf muscles which ultimately leads to detrimental ramifications such as forcing the body to experience more difficulty to walk.
Australian scientist studied women who rarely wore heels versus those who love wearing them. The findings were conclusive and reconfirmed many girls’ worst nightmare. By wearing heels daily and for long periods, it actually causes the leg muscles to reform, finding a new “default” position that redistributes effort and strain in potentially dangerous ways. Thus, poses as a underlying death trap.
Medical scientists behind the study advised those who wear heels to only wear heels in moderation.
