Retailers are either desperate or in some sort of competition because young celebrities and icons have been snatched in the hope that they can create exclusive apparel lines for chain stores. Obviously, some are doing a lot better than others.
Strangely enough, the Kardashian collection and Selena Gomez’s line are right at the bottom of the heap. They are featured in Sears and Kmart stores, but they are slowly going out of business.
On the other hand, Demi Lovato and Gwen Stefani’s lines are doing really well with their collections are Target. They may be ding extremely well, but Madonna and her daughter Lourdes’ line snags the number one spot.
Their line is featured at Macy’s and it is called Material Girl. The collection has had an abundant year and an astonishing 27.2% of the stock at Macy’s consists of Madonna’s clothing line. Now that’s what I call a hit!
