While we’ve certainly seen a lot of girly w/ an edge fashion, Badgley Mischka’s Spring 2012 Collection has a different take on the style. The collection was of course a lot of retro silhouettes (peplum dresses, anyone?), florals, bows and metallics. The metallic items like the belts in the collection and the metallic looking fabrics add the edge to the designs as well as pull the looks together. Watch the video below: Click to start

Single super huge bows on dresses made looks extra girly, giving an air of fun and playfulness. Although huge, the bows somehow looked incorporated into the dresses rather than extensions of the dresses making these looks wearable and not kid-like.
The peplum trend will still be around this Spring! As a fan of peplum dresses and skirts, I’m really happy to see them in the Badgley Mischka Spring 2012 collection. Peplum dresses are both classic and girly at the same time.
