Jill Stuart Spring 2012 Collection: Colorful Fairytale

While bright colors remain the staple of the Spring 2012 runways, Jill Stuart interpreted bright color in her own way. Bright colors for Jill Stuart and her Spring 2012 collection exist in dreams and fairytales. A lot of this collection you can imagine in Candyland with a palette of delicious sherbert colors. The textures are ethereal and make the clothes appear dream-like. Still what remains is Jill Stuart’s playful girlishness.

As seen above, I’m really loving that orange is making itself out to be the new black. Orange looks so elegant in Jill Sander’s suit and skirt jacket look on the left. It almost looks like you can wear it to sleep!

Palmtrees often decorate the dreams of people seeking vacation. They also happen to be a whimsical print on some of Stuart’s separates. They also happen to be in Alexa Chung’s Madewell collection. Me? I’m a California girl. I approve.

When it comes to bright color, there’s an important styling note to be had from Jill Stuart’s Spring collection. Bright color with blush or nude tones makes color pop and more attractive to the eye.

These are some of my favorite looks — I love how girly the doll prints look. It’s as if the models are wearing an Aya Takano painting.
