The two things I adore about Erin Fetherston are exactly what I adore about her Spring 2012 collection: It’s completely girly and the entire collection (and all her previous collections) is fit to be worn by Ms. Fetherston herself. If you attended her Spring 2012 presentation at Milk Studios and did not know who she was, it would’ve been easy to assume that she was a model who got so tired of holding the same pose for hours that she emerged from the presentation to graciously answer questions regarding the new collection. I mean, look at this flawlessness:

For Erin, fashion design is purely an act of love. She designs for herself and is passionate about sharing her love. Love that night came in the form of dresses and separates inspired by the 60s — namely Twiggy and Mia Farrow. Although inspired by the 60s, the collection retains its modernity with clean, shapes fit for any body type. The collection’s palette included black, ivory and an eye-catching tangerine color begging to be worn this coming Spring. Equally fantastic were the floral poppy and butterfly prints. Usually I associate butterflies with tramp stamps and those hair clips that were really popular in the 90s, however, poppies and butterflies in Erin’s collection are cute, colorful and classy.
Here are some images I managed to take that evening:
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the presentation and the new collection. My Spring wardrobe welcomes it with open arms.
