Just this once I’m going to put this out there, and you’re going to deal with the cheesiness: I love Richard Chai Love. There, it’s out there and you’ve all probably deduced that my mental age is 5. Luckily for me, there’s no right age to fall in love with fashion. But is it all too sudden? Is it too soon to declare love for a Spring collection (namely, Richard Chai Love Spring 2012) when we’re only a day into New York Fashion Week? Well, I don’t care — I’m finding myself stuck in Richard Chai Love’s Spring 2012 Collection. It’s basically an electric paradise.

The bright neon floral prints and surfer wear evoked images of an electric Hawaii/paradise-like places. It’s genius how Chai takes the tacky Hawaiian floral print reserved only for corporate luaus adds brightness to create clothes you wouldn’t mind wearing beyond a luau. You could say that I wouldn’t give the idea of wearing tropical prints in the Spring a ‘cold shoulder.’ Speaking of which, shoulders were very much exposed in an interesting manner. Interesting in that it looked like all of the garments once had shoulders initially and then unexpectedly, they were cut out.
