Inspired by Kim Joon paintings (as in the artist, not the KPOP idol), Rodriguez’ Spring 2012 collection is loads of color and geometry in the form of parallelograms, rectangles and other puzzle-like pieces on the looks. Elie Tahari’s Spring 2012 collection looked to Egypt with looks that were a adventurous hybrid of explorer chic and Cleopatra. The color palette was filled with blues, teals, bright orange, gold and nude — all colors that remind me of the Nile River, the bright Egyptian Sun and the great pyramids.
