Usually when I hear Lanvin, I imagine lovely, pretty things. Especially their shoe line, ranging from a dainty, girlish ballet flat to anything spiked or leather, but usually all pretty chic. So what the heck happened here?! The questionable sandals pictured above cost…$995.

Presenting the Ski Buckle Gladiator Sandal, which already sounds like a oxymoron. Who needs exposed areas on their feet when they ski or are in snow-like weather?

I’ll budge and give some type of credit, since they’re made with python and the only thing in the description that could possibly account for that price tag. But the “adjustable ski straps” just make it ridiculous.

They are available at Barney’s, though I’d be more interested to see the person who genuinely goes to buy a pair. Amusingly, there’s also a mention that the “Item cannot be shipped to California” - anyone want to guess why?

woah $995…
I think, it can’t be wear in winter and neither in summer...aren’t those blue thing hot for the summer?
But if they are comfortable, everyone is free to choose what to wear ^^
..but still $995 =_=

I KNOW! I just want to be like “seriously?!” like Crocs are cheaper lol
