There are a lot of Facebook T-shirts selling going around but the genius web & graphic designer Gerry McKay brought the social network phenomenon to a different kind of gear when he designed the first pair of Facebook shoes!

As mentioned in the Behance project page:

This is a small project which I was recently working on which brings together Adidas and Facebook. 2006 was the 35th anniversary of the Adidas Superstar and to coincide with that, Adidas released a collection of limited edition trainers. Facebook as a brand is increasingly on the rise, I thought it would be interesting to see what it would look like if Adidas also released a limited edition Facebook Superstar, so I worked on my own design of the shoe and this is what I came up with.

Along with the well-known Facebook and Adidas logos on the shoe’s tongue, back and side, there’s a catchy slogan printed inside of each shoe. One say may say “Facebook is a social utility that connects you with people are you” while the others goes “Making the world open and connected.”

Gerry McKay calls this a ‘small project’! If I knew where they sold these, I would purchase one immediately! However, I thought it would be cool if they release a version when you can customize these shoes. They should also feature something that reflects Facebook. For example, when you kick someone, that counts as revenge on those who poked you online.

Sorry to disappoint, but these shoes are not available. I guess it’s just for display. Nevertheless, what do you think of these amazing trainers?
