If you thought Alexander McQueen was gone for good, I present to you his Fall 2010 collection, as amazing as ever. Even after he committed suicide on that fateful day in February, his faithful team worked hard to put his last works to fruition. It’s said that his collection was about 80% done before his death.
The trend this fall is all about full skirts, nipped waists, and a neutral palette. McQueen has utilized these fashion-forward fads but also brought the world back in time, with outfits reminiscent of the long-lost Byzantine Era and Qing Dynasty.
With outfits seemingly from many cultures, they’re all sophisticated and regal at the same time. All I can say is, McQueen definitely will not be old news this coming fall, and it’s sad that the fashion world has to lose such a talented designer.
Rest in peace, Alexander McQueen.
