You know how sometimes you look back at a trend and say, “well thank goodness that’s over!”? That’s how I feel about the head-to-toe denim look. I’ve discussed how scarring 90s fashion has been on some of our lives, and I can’t think about the total denim look without conjuring this terrifying image of Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake in their matching blue outfits. Quite seriously, it haunts my dreams. So why is the denim look making a comeback now?

Both D & G (above) and Chloe sent complete denim looks down the runway for Spring 2010, and now things like completely denim dress are cropping up in chain stores like Zara. I don’t think I’ll ever be sold on the look, although I would consider throwing on a denim button-down with a girly skirt and a pretty camisole. How do you feel about this trend?

I think depending on the wash - it can look okay
the awkwardness of the first picture = a no to me

It’s actually not that bad if you can pull it off right and use the right type of denim. Soft denims and “denim-washed” cloths tend to work better when pulling off the look. Also, you should never match the denim pieces… It just looks awkward. Hahaha. People are even wearing denim inspired bathing suits now!

awww, i really loved the 2nd pic but yeah it will be interesting seeing denim coming back:)

i like the denim coming back
ive seen amazing pieces using denim and well god forbid the britney/justin fiasco again

LOL that pic of Britney and Justin!!!
I’ve never been sold on the all denim look—it’s a little too bland for my taste.
