I haven’t really visited Zara in the past, but I decided to stop in after seeing some looks that I really loved in their summer lookbook. I asked one of their sales associates about the floral bustier top above, and she ran off to grab it for me. I had visions of pairing it with a cute navy jacket that I have, or wearing it with my ballerina style skirt. But, alas, when she returned with the top she explained to me that it is only made in a size Medium. What??

Upon further investigation, a lot of the clothing at Zara is only made in size Medium or Large. What about us little people? Do we not count too? When I asked the sales associate about the reasoning behind this practice, she sort of shrugged and said that that’s just the way they do it. I also had my eye on this pretty lace dress, but it only comes in a Medium or Large as well. Unfortunately this isn’t because the sizing fits across the board — the Medium truly was too big for a person like me who typically wears an XS/S.

Has anyone else experienced issues with Zara’s sizing? It totally put a damper on my shopping trip today. At least I know for next time not to expect all of the looks I want out of the lookbook!
