Rompers really started to make a comeback last summer, and it looks like the trend is holding on for this year’s warm weather months as well. Rompers are always talked about as if they are so easy to just throw on and go. I don’t disagree that they may be easy to physically put on, but to actually wear them and look good? That’s another story. And then there’s the problem that my mom, as a veteran romper-wearer of the 80s, always brings up: how are you going to go to the bathroom? If you don’t mind that added hassle, here are some cute rompers to test out in your quest for a summer staple!
The romper above is being released at Zara sometime in May, and although I’m not sure that it’s a “safe” romper choice, it sure is cute! The design is very obviously based on the Miu Miu spring collection, but the price point will be significantly less I’m sure!
This is a great choice for someone who wants a classy, pulled together look. The different colored top and bottom to this silk romper from Express make it seem a little more like two separate pieces. It would be cute with a pair of heels for an evening out!
Does this design look familiar? Remember the embroidered sundress that I bought at Forever 21 a few weeks ago? This is a variation on that design, but in romper form! I might actually pick this one up too! I’d wear it with espadrilles and maybe a little crocheted vest!
Ok, so technically this one is a jumpsuit, but I get that some people aren’t crazy about the shorts-romper look. A basic black jumpsuit like this one from ASOS is a great piece to build on — add a little jacket and a belt and some statement jewelry, and this look just went from casual to classy!
