As someone who thinks about and writes about fashion quite often, I definitely like shopping for new clothes. I try to be conscious of my spending habits in order to keep my budget under control, but sometimes that perfect pair of shoes is just calling my name too loudly for me to ignore. One of the first places I look whenever I am shopping online is RetailMeNot.
RetailMeNot is an awesome site where you can search for the online retailer that you are shopping with to see if anyone has posted discount codes and coupons to use. Sometimes there are coupons that customer service reps give out which aren’t mass emailed to the mailing list, or sometimes there are longstanding codes that don’t ever expire that are meant to be used by frequent shoppers. In any case, it can be a great way to knock 15 or 20% off of your order. Sometimes even just free shipping can be a big help!
All you have to do is go to the site, type in the web retailer that you want to buy from, and hope that there is a working coupon. The site will tell you how recently the coupon was tested, and if it still worked at that time. There are some larger retailers who don’t have coupon codes, but I find that some of the smaller sites run codes fairly often. Remember to check it out before your next purchase, and you could save money to put toward… say… another pair of shoes!
