On Tuesday, Chanel showed their Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear collection in Paris. Karl Lagerfeld always dreams up an elaborate setting for his runway (past seasons have included a farm, a merry-go-round, and a larger-than-life-sized Chanel handbag), and this season was no different; models walked around a giant iceberg in a shallow pool of water — that’s right, they got the clothes wet!

Like many of the other Fall collections that we’ve seen so far, Chanel had tons of fur incorporated into the designs, but all of the fur that came down the iceberg runway was faux!

Some of the pieces are just so crazy (Faux fur pants? Those models must have been dying of heat!) , but I love that Karl dressed up the infamous Chanel tweed jacket with some fur as well. I’m personally very torn on the issue of fur — I love the way it looks and feels, but I’m well aware that it is sometimes sourced in rather unethical ways. I’m not sure if Karl was trying to make a statement by using faux fur, but I think it brings a little humor to the collection!

Here are some of my favorite looks!
