I was really excited to see the Twinkle by Wenlan collection this season, and it really didn’t disappoint. I love Twinkle because it is always a little edgy, but still something that you can see on the runway and say to yourself “I’d walk out of here wearing that right now.” Wenlan Chia knows how to make fashion fun and approachable.
The colors were overall pretty muted — lots of black and white with some taupe mixed in. There was the occasional pop of a deep berry, purple or mustard yellow as well! The collection was inspired by an almost fairytale-like idea of the woods, with Hansel and Gretel being referenced in the black and white print seen on the tank dress below. As always, Wenlan plays with texture, particularly knits. I can see myself getting cozy in one of her over-sized scarves!
