Rarely do I ever love a fashion house as consistently as I love Balmain. My love for particular fashion houses and lines is similar to what people say of love between, well…people. For love to last, partners need to change together. For me to love Balmain this long, Balmain has to have changed with me throughout the years. Too often, I’ll only love particular seasons of a particular fashion label…but with Balmain, my love seems everlasting.
What does it for me as a woman in my mid-20s, is the fact that Balmain’s clothing reflects my personality now — it’s dramatic, fun and fierce all at the same time. I’m living that transitional period of life going from adolescent to adult, and Balmain’s woman warrior, military inspiration matches well what I could only describe as my desire to live this time with safe precaution. It also addresses my need to be having fun in this time.

I’m totally excited to see what the upcoming Fall/Winter 2010 Balmain collection has in store!
